How to use SVG → PNG

  1. Choose an SVGOpen an SVG logo or illustration.
  2. Set the output widthPick the pixel width you need, or leave it blank for a sharp default of at least 1024 px. The height follows the original aspect ratio and the final size is shown before you convert.
  3. Download the PNGCheck edges and fonts in the preview, then save the PNG.

About this tool

Not every app accepts SVG. Choose a width, and the browser renders your vector file into a crisp PNG that keeps transparency, ready for email signatures, documents and social images.

Common uses: Create PNG previews, email attachments, documentation images and raster assets from a scalable SVG logo or illustration.

Practical example: Choose an output width large enough for the intended use, then scale the PNG down in the destination rather than exporting too small.

Important limitation: PNG is raster output: enlarging it later can soften edges. External fonts, linked images or unsupported SVG features may render differently in a browser canvas.

The SVG is rendered locally in your browser; the file is not uploaded. Read the privacy information.

How it works

The SVG is rendered by your browser at the width you choose and drawn to a canvas, which is exported as a PNG with transparency preserved.

Real-world uses

Exporting sharp, usable PNGs

Export bigger than you need. A PNG cannot be enlarged without softening, but it can be scaled down cleanly. For web use, export at twice the display width for sharp screens; for print, pick a pixel width that gives your target DPI at the printed size.

The retina option renders at two or three times the width, which is a quick way to get a sharp file. The height follows the SVG’s own proportions, and the final pixel size is shown before you convert.

Fonts and linked images inside an SVG may render differently from your design tool, because the browser uses fonts it has available. Convert text to outlines in your editor before exporting the SVG to avoid surprises. Choose JPG only when you need a solid background.

Tips for better results

Frequently asked questions

Does the PNG keep the SVG’s scalability?

No. SVG is vector; PNG is a fixed-size raster image based on the width you choose.

Can I create a transparent PNG?

The result follows the source and rendering settings; inspect the preview before using it on a different background.

Are my files uploaded?

The SVG is rendered locally in your browser; the file is not uploaded.

Why do my fonts look different?

The SVG references a font that is not embedded. Outline the text before exporting from your design tool.

Can I get a bigger PNG later?

Re-export from the SVG at a larger width. Enlarging the PNG itself will blur it.

Does the PNG keep transparency?

Yes. PNG and WebP keep transparent areas. If you choose JPG you can set a background color instead.

What width should I choose?

Choose the largest size you expect to need, or twice the display width for sharp screens. Scaling down is clean; scaling up is not.
