TEXT & DEVELOPER TOOLS
Encoder, Hash & UUID Toolkit
Encode and decode Base64, URL, HTML entities, hex and binary, decode JWTs, hash text or files and generate UUIDs and ULIDs.
Quick answer: Choose a tool, paste text or open a file, and get the result instantly. Hashes can be compared against a value you have.

How to use Encoder, Hash & UUID Toolkit
- Choose the toolBase64, URL, HTML, hex, JWT, hash or ID generator.
- Add text or a fileHash or Base64-encode a file without uploading it. Decode Base64 back to a downloadable file.
- Copy the resultCopy it, compare a hash, or use the output as your next input.
Good to know
Common uses: Debugging APIs, checking downloads against a published checksum, encoding data for URLs and generating unique IDs.
Practical example: Paste a JWT to see its header, payload and expiry status without sending it anywhere.
Important limitation: JWT decoding does not verify the signature. MD5 and SHA-1 are not secure for passwords or signatures; use them for checksums only. Very large files depend on your device’s memory.
For sensitive work, read the privacy information and follow your organization’s data-handling policy.
How it works
Encoding uses UTF-8-safe conversion. SHA hashes and HMAC use the browser’s Web Crypto API, and MD5 uses a built-in implementation. UUIDs and ULIDs use secure random values.
Real-world uses
- Verifying a file checksum
- Decoding API tokens
- Generating IDs for test data
Tips for better results
- Use Base64url for tokens in URLs.
- Compare hashes with the compare field instead of by eye.
- Never paste production secrets into any online tool you do not trust. This one runs locally.
Frequently asked questions
Does it decode JWTs?
Yes. It shows the header, payload and expiry. It does not verify the signature.
Which hashes are supported?
MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512 and HMAC, for text or files.
Can I hash a large file?
Yes, locally in your browser. Very large files depend on your device’s memory.
Which IDs can it generate?
UUID v4, UUID v7 and ULID, up to 1000 at a time, with several formats.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
Is the toolkit free?
Yes.
