About this tool

For the everyday paperwork that only needs a visible signature, you do not need to print, sign and rescan. Type or draw a signature, place it on the page, add a date, and download a signed copy.

Common uses: Add a typed or drawn signature to applications, approvals, receipts and internal documents, or fill supported AcroForm fields without uploading the PDF.

Practical example: Use a short signer name or draw a signature, add a date if needed, fill any detected fields, then open the downloaded copy in your usual PDF viewer to confirm placement.

Important limitation: This is a local self-signing workflow, not a certificate-based or legally guaranteed e-signature service. Keep the original and follow the recipient’s signature requirements.

Your signature and the PDF stay in this browser tab; neither is uploaded. Read the privacy information.

How it works

Your typed or drawn signature is converted to an image and placed on the page where you click; detected form fields can be filled before saving.

Real-world uses

A visible signature is not a digital certificate

This is a self-applied signature: an image of your name placed on the page. Many forms, approvals and internal documents accept that. Contracts and regulated processes often require a certificate-based digital signature or a specific e-signature service with an audit trail, and this tool does not provide either. Check what the recipient actually requires before you sign.

To get a clean result, draw your signature on a large area with a mouse or finger, place it on the signature line, then zoom in to check it does not cover printed text. If the PDF has genuine form fields, the tool detects supported text fields so you can fill them without drawing on the page.

Keep the unsigned original and name the signed file clearly, such as agreement-signed. A signed PDF should not be edited afterwards.
